Blanche de Namur
The history of our beer dates back to the 13th century. Legend relates that Blanche de Namur, daughter of the Count of Namur, was exceptionally beautiful, attracting the attention of many suitors. However, the Count wanted the best candidate for his daughter and organised a chivalry contest to determine the most worthy suitor.
It is said that among the many knights was Magnus IV Eriksson, King of Sweden and Norway, who was on his way to France in search of a prestigious bride. Captivated by the young princess, Magnus IV used all his bravery and valour to win the Tournament and claim Blanche's heart.
The conquered princess departed for Scandinavia, never to see the banks of the Meuse again, got married and was crowned Queen of Norway, Sweden and Scania.
Our beer Blanche de Namur is therefore the result of this love and passion for perfection. Brewed with care following the Belgian tradition, our delicate white beer embodies purity and elegance. Today, Blanche de Namur continues to cross borders and charm beer lovers all over the world, perpetuating the heritage of a fascinating history and an exceptional beer.
